Victoria and Alex got married on my birthday this year! I was so excited to photograph a wedding on my birthday, because I love photographing weddings that much! They had a beautiful and pink rustic wedding at the ever rustic Whispering Tree Ranch in Laveen. The day was filled with tears and laughter all around. And sometimes a mix of both! During the ceremony the officiant reminded everyone of the story of how they met and the story of their love and it was filled with lots of laughs from the couple.
After the heartfelt ceremony I stole them away for another few minutes of photos. This is my favorite time of day to spend with my couples, and Victoria and Alex were no different. They got to spend a nice moment together after the ceremony to enjoy each other before their family pictures and before it was time to celebrate! After the traditional first dances, they did something I had not seen before. The bride’s parents had a dance together! I love seeing new traditions being created at weddings. The celebrating continued with a lot of dancing, a bouquet and garter toss, and a cake smash that started with, “well, why not?!” They ended the night with a lovely sparkler exit!
