15 Wedding Photography Blog Topics for SEO

15 wedding photography by topics for SEO ranking. 15 wedding photography by topics for SEO ranking.

Blogging is a great way to help your ranking for SEO!  Not only does frequent blogging let search engines know that your website is current, you can use it to show search engines you are an authority in your area.  Now, showing search engines you are the authority on weddings in your region takes a bit of strategy behind it.

Blogging Past Weddings and Engagement Sessions

The first thing you will want to do (which is most common for photographers), is to blog your weddings and engagement sessions!  The more posts you have for weddings in your region, the more search engines will see you as an expert. Bonus: This will help you rank for searches for the specific venues you have previously worked at!

Creative Wedding Photography Blog Post Topics for SEO

After you have blogged all your past weddings and engagement sessions, you will want to start to get a little more creative.  You will want to start thinking like your couple. What will they be searching that is related to not only your location but also weddings?  Venues, engagement session locations, wedding vendors, planning tips, etc. Here are some ideas to get you started!

Bonus: Submitting Wedding for Publishing

Once you have blogged your own sessions, it is time to get them published!  Creating backlinks from other trusted wedding and local websites will skyrocket your SEO ranking.  (Backlinks are when another website links to yours.) Backlinks are one of the key considerations search engines use to determine your ranking.

After you have done all the work of blogging the wedding, it is much easier to submit that wedding for publishing.  You already have the best images from the session selected and already exported for web-resolution. You have also collected all of the vendor’s names, websites, and email addresses.  On top of that, you have a few paragraphs about the wedding you can send off with the submission!

Ok, now it’s time for you to get your blogging on!  If you are looking for a great way to streamline your blogging workflow, check out my FREE guide: The Wedding and Engagement Blog Workflow Guide.
