I'm Amber, a Harry Potter obsessed wedding and brand photographer for those who are anything but ordinary based in Phoenix, Arizona.

When I don't have a camera in my hand, you can find me hiking with my husband, snuggling pups, or planning my next Disney trip.

Megan and Sam were married at the Chapel of the Holy Dove in Flagstaff, Arizona.  If you have never been there, it is the cutest little A frame chapel in the middle of the woods.  It is surrounded by Ponderosa Pine and Aspen forests with views of Humphreys Peak.  They chose to get married at the Chapel of the Holy Dove because Sam’s parents were married at the same chapel!  Their reception was just down the street at The Colton House: a beautiful cabin surrounded by the same Ponderosa pine forests.

If I had to sum up this week, it would be “ALL of the dishes”. I swear, it felt like the dishes were never ending. We had to cook all our own grains, so that gave us a ton of pots and the instapot to clean. Then we prepped all of our lunches. So, we had those containers to hand wash (vs I usually just put plates from my lunches in the dish washer). Lastly, we had no grab-and-go snacks. Everything required prep of some sort. So we are going through all our knives and small plates just for snacks. I got so desperate to get out from under the dishes pile that I put things we would normally hand wash (like our pots and Tupperware) into the dishwasher. I think I ran two loads in one day.

Yes, you read that right, Anniversary Piñata!  I photographed Adrianna & Sean’s wedding almost a year ago, and as it is almost there one year anniversary, I thought this was a perfect time to share their unique guest book.

I have two wonderful dogs: an Australian Shepard named Stormy and a Border Collie named Fawkes.  I bought Stormy as a puppy for my husband shortly after we bought our first home.  She was a bit of a handful when she was a puppy, well, she is still a bit of a handful!  But that is ok, it is part of makes up her character and why I love her so much.  A few years later, my husband and I rescued Fawkes from the Arizona Boarder Collie Rescue.  She just wants to give kisses, herd the cat, and chase balls all day long.  I love taking pictures of these two, but sometimes taking great photos is a challenge.  I do manage to get some incredible picture to hang on the walls and in my office.  Here are some of my tips for taking better picture of your dogs!

Carol is an Art major at Arizona State University where she is pursuing a bachelor’s degree to become an art teacher.  She was also a bridesmaid in my wedding!  Being an Art Major, Carol was a huge help in crafting decorations and signs for my wedding.  She has always shown a passion for the arts, specifically ceramics.  As a typical art student, Carol can be heard complaining that the university spends too much money on the football team and not enough money renovating the art buildings!

This is my first blog post!  Yay!  I had the joy of photographing my husband, Josh, and our dog Stormy at one of our favorite camping destinations.  Every summer, we take an annual camping trip to the Mogollon Rim in Payson, Arizona.  Stormy has been camping at there since she was a puppy.  We have so many wonderful memories there, it made sense to make a few more.
