When I started talking with Laura and Matt about their engagement session, they mentioned The Riparian Preserve in Gilbert. I had never been there before, but had always wanted to check it out. Then, when they mentioned they wanted to bring their pup along, I was even more excited!
One stereotype of Millennials I can get on board with is how much we love our pets. They are a part of our family. We love spending time with them and include them in our hikes, cafe dates, and trips to our parent’s houses. So, it totally makes sense that we want to include them in our engagement photos too! I personally love when I get to meet my couple’s pups and include them in our session. Here are the tips I give my couples when they want to include doggo in their engagement photos.
One of the top requested locations for an engagement session is Sedona. And it’s not hard to see why. It is a quick drive up from the valley to get some truly unique and epic views. The red rocks that Sedona is famous for is only available here in the Southwest. So, if you are an outdoorsy or adventurous couple, it only makes sense to take advantage of Sedona for your engagement photos! There are so many great locations to choose from.
Aimee and Dustin are from Las Vegas and were getting married in Flagstaff. When they hired me to photograph their wedding, we quickly started planning out their engagement session. We wanted to meet in the middle somewhere, so they choose Sedona. Aimee brought up the idea of Merry Go Round. They had visited on a previous trip and absolutely loved it. I was down, but knew my Prius would not make it up that crazy dirt road. So, we made a plan to meet at a parking lot on the pavement and I jumped in their Tacoma to head up the trail. We had a lot of fun hiking around and exploring the area. Then, we finally made our way to the iconic Merry Go Round spot, just in time for sunset.
