Heyyyy!

15th Anniversary

Today is my 15th anniversary with my husband.  That’s right, 15 years ago since this dude started talking to me about bands in a pool and held my hand while watching Finding Nemo.  I have known him exactly half of my life.  Since the day I met him his has encouraged me to follow my passions and inspired me to push myself to become a better person.  To celebrate the past 15 years, I wanted to share 15 pictures from our relationship.  Ready?  Let’s go!

This is the first picture we ever took together.  We were such babies!  It is also one of the only pictures we took on an actual film camera.  My hair was always some crazy color back then and Josh pretty much always looked the same until he grew his beard out!

My 16th birthday, in all my glory.  Later that night Josh’s band played in the garage and my dad tried to start a mosh pit with me and my friends.

My senior prom!  My grandma and I made my dress.  That camo fabric came from a dog bed.  Not kidding.  I also made a matching vest and the tie for Josh to wear.  He wasn’t to big on dressing up, so I wanted to make something he would enjoy.  So a camo vest with bass buttons it was!  Oh an my hair?  I rocked a devil lock for quite some time!

Josh’s band was playing their first out of town show at a festival in Victorville, California.  So, my bestie and I thought it was a great excuse for a CA trip.  Because, Victorville is at least closer to the ocean than Phoenix.  We snuck in a quick trip to the beach the night before the show.  Then we met up with Josh in the morning at the venue.  I remember watching them play, the terrible state of the bathroom, and making a wish on a dandelion at a truck stop on the way home that night.

Josh’s first trip to Disneyland!!!  It was our 5th anniversary and I basically had to bribe him with a trip to Sea World to get him to go.  (Which is pretty ironic, because he is not a fan of the ocean.  But he loves beluga wales.)  The moment he walked inside the gates, his face lit up like a kid.  From that moment, I had a Disney partner for life!

We were on a bowling league for quite a few years.  And our favorite league included a trip to Vegas every year.  This was our first trip to Vegas and I wasn’t 21 yet, so I had to do more low key things like find an arcade with a sweet photo booth in it!  We had a blast and I think I won one of the tournament pots that year!

Shortly after we bought our first house, we got our first pup, Stormy.  Apparently we were not very good about trying to take pictures together with her when she was little, because this was the only picture I could find!  Oh well, at least we have one!

This is one of my fav pictures of us at Disney.  It was taken in line for the Snow White ride on a birthday/Christmas Disney trip.  We are just so cute with our Christmas Mickey ears!

You know I love me a photo booth!  Our friends got married at the Taco Festival, which explains the fancy outfits.  The luchador mask?  Oh, well he wore it in the wedding!

This is the first picture we took with Fawkes!  This was right after we adopted her and it says a lot.  Stormy, not quite sure.  Fawkes, staring at Josh.  She is for sure my girl, but we all stare at Josh that way.

That one time we had a WICKED Harry Potter wedding!  It only took about 10 years to finally get married, but it was well worth the wait.

Where do two Harry Potter nerds honeymoon?  At the Wizarding World of Harry Potter of course.  We had an absolute blast.  We were so giddy about absolutely everything there.  I cannot wait to go back to see Diagon Alley.

RIP Tower of Terror.  Need I say more?

Just casually eating breakfast together on the side of a cliff during a backpacking trip.  No big deal.

From our trip to Washington for my 30th birthday were we ignored TLC and chased waterfalls.  And had so much fun!

There you have it.  15 pictures for the 15 years we have been together.  I can say that I would not change one of them for the world.
